SO here i am finally... in the Netherlands. Its a lot different that i expected but i still am starting to like it. We arrived here last Friday after and long and dreadful flight from Boston. Despite the jet lag, we were forced to stay up all day for orientation. That night we all drank and hung out in Sophie's, which is a little snack bar/lounge in the Castle that also serves beer and wine. (Oh yeah, for those of you who don't know, i live in a Castle). Saturday we had more orientation, then we all went to a local bar called the Vink. I must say that it was one of the craziest nights i have had in a while. There were quite a few cute Dutch boys at the bar, which was very entertaining. Sunday we were hung over, but still had orientation. At the end of the day we took a ride on a boat down the river, which was very fun. On Monday i started classes. I am kinda worried that i will be too wrapped up in this place and traveling to do too much classwork, but hopefully it will all work out.
This place is so beautiful. i look out my window and see a fountain, 2 moats and peacocks running around. Its so surreal i don't actually believe i'm here. On the other hand, i definitely miss people from home and back in Boston. Its so hard to talk to people because i can't call anyone and they shut off our internet service at 1am here (7pm in Boston).
i can't wait to start traveling. This weekend i am going to Rotterdam with Amanda, Ariana, Theresa and a bunch more people. It should be a great time.
Well i suppose i will update you on my travels as time goes on!

Look at my pics!
